Visual stimulation

It's weird, now that I'm not eating proper food, I seem to be more tuned into natural beauty. I'm more interested in taking photographs than I have been for a while as well. I don't know why, maybe I just have more time now that I'm not engaged in the business of buying, preparing, cooking and eating lovely, delicious, real food.

I picked up the flowers from Morrisons for a fiver last Friday. A fiver!! Aren't they stunning?  No wonder traditional florists struggle to make their businesses work when you can buy a bunch like this for a fiver.

I'm glad I didn't go into floristry when I nearly lost faith in the law in 2005. It is a great hobby/interest but I'm much happier where I am now despite the odd period of stress.

Besides, florists do most of their best work at weekends (weddings etc) so I'd miss the football and golf!!

I'm over at Dad's now but on my way over I stopped at a part of Sherwood Forest I drive through to walk the dogs. It was a beautiful, sunny evening and there was NO-ONE about, not a soul. Talk about the joys of spring; I was in heaven. And the dogs were ecstatic, snuffling through the undergrowth, chewing sticks, chasing hares and pheasants.

I took loads of piccies but can't upload them until I get home but, take my word for it, it was a stunning evening.

It wasn't stunning here - cold, wet... However, I'm glad it was nice somewhere!
