Stalled (a little)

I'm finding it hard to make myself progress to the next stage of Beck , ie. the actual diet. Weightwise I seem to have lost a few lbs doing the preparation but I really need to get moving.

My excuses (read "sabotaging thoughts") have been about what's going on in my life, at work and at home and wanting to "do it right". This is not good enough. So - I'm going to do the Hunger Log today and the Experiencing Hunger tomorrow and then formally start calorie counting on Friday in time for the weekend. I have nothing major planned for the weekend so that shouldn't be a problem.

On the plus side (there usually is one when you think about it):

  • I'm still avoiding snacking almost all of the time.
  • Exercise is stabilising back into my routine.
  • I know how to maintain weight now, really know it rather than just theoretically know it.

Right, I'm off to a meeting in Manchester and am likely to be spending a lot of today on the train. Trigger time!! So - that's a challenge to see how far I've come.
