Sunny lunchtime walk in Bamford

Even the humble dandelion is stunning in this sunshine! So bright and brash.

Onto the Route (or the Thornhill Trail as it is officially known as).

Minty was keen to sit down for a while (or have her photo taken)

The leaves are just peeking through now, all fresh and new.

And these baby fern are shyly unfurling.  Hope they soon overpower those nettles!

Shelagh and I stopped for some selfie practise. We weren't very good at it.

The green of the meadows was eye-popping.

A dusting of bluebells along the hedgerow.

This puddle has been a pond for months and is now nearly gone.

Shelagh went for a swim, natch!

After her swim she had to go and bury the retrieved sticks. Here she is returning from the top secret burial location.

Minty took to her selfie session like a pro.  This was definitely her "good side".

A bit twee but sweet hidden away in a quiet corner and hiding a wren's nest as I saw the mama wren flying into the nook behind them.

It was a lovely lunchtime walk.  Okay, it was meant to be a run or a swim but I  just had too many chores and too much work.  This was the best I could manage, not too shabby.

That looks like a lovely walk. Especially that path in the top 2 pics.
